Another Pair forming

Well I have another pair forming. PD ghost/koi pair. Not to happy about this koi. not one of my better angels. He has short gill plates. He was the first angel i got and I didn't know Jon at the time so I didn't think about his gill plates. I'm not to sure if it's genetics or the way it was handled as a fry. I think I'm going to pull there spawn if the decide to lay. there in a community angel tank. I know there eggs wouldn't last long. Plus I would like to know for sure if the koi is worth breeding. They where cleaning the heater at first. I didn't have any slate in there tank. I put the slate in and they went to it like a flies to poop.
