It looks like dad is cannibalistic.  I had to give him the benefit of the doubt and give him a second chance.  I'll give mom a few more day's rest and then plop her back in.  Then as soon as I see dots I'll remove both parents.

No.  I don't have any floaty plants.  If I go in to the LFS Monday I'll pick some up if they have them.

Jan, I should have let you know before...I have three spawns of dots alive and well.  The trick was in putting in floating plants and adding a hand full of hay to my green water container.  I don't think that dad was munching.  He's in with this huge group and doesn't appear to have snaked.  The problem was that they weren't getting enough microorganisms to eat.

They're all still dots at this point but the larger ones are eating San Francisco Bay BBS.  They'll grow fast.  I'll let you know when they turn from Dots into Gourami's

Great! Liz, I would love to have some of these little dogs,lol. Tell Dan to take good care of them for us. lol ;D
