I admit it.  I am a food whore.  Feed me well and I'll follow you anywhere.  That's not quite the truth, but I like the way it reads.

I mostly cook for myself.  I cook in many genera.  I like it best when it's easy AND Delicious.  Among the things I like are the nasty bits, livers, kidneys, tongue, gizzards, etc.  I once made head cheese from the head of a hog I raised myself.

If you like chicken liver you must try this.  It is so easy and it is superb.

It make great catfish bait.  It makes good Liz bait as well, if it's prepared properly.

Liz That is the food I was brought up on. My granny made head cheese all the time. If it moved we ate it. Well it did not always move. My fav is frog legs. Ate some things I would not tell anybody You know how us KY. boys are.

I haven't had good frog legs since I was a kid.  Used to be one of my favorites.  Lots of butter and garlic, please...

I like your new avatar.  Did you know that what they call scallops at most restaurants are actually punches out of salt water rays (or so I've been told).  That must be why I haven't had decent scallops for years, either.

Oysters on the half shell rock.  I could get fat an the slimy little buggers.  But the farther you get from the coast, the less good they are.  I live 90 miles from the coast and they aren't half as good here as they were when I lived right by where they were pulled from the water.

My other weakness is steamed clams, in the shell, with the clam broth....soak fresh hot garlic bread in the juice while eating the clams......shazam....now I'm hungry again..... :o :o :o
