I'm afraid I have.  He's so happy and home here.  He's sitting behind my chair close to my pet chicken.

His name is Boudreux and he showed up when Pip was in heat.  She's over that by a few days now and he keeps not going home.  I found out that he belongs to a neighbor I don't know.  The poor woman is loosing her battle with cancer.  She's going to Houston later this month for some kind of treatment that only this hospital in Houston can do.  She thinks the world of the dog.  A neighbor took Boudreaux home several days ago and Boudreaux came right back here.

He's a dapper little gentleman and he gets along just fine here.  I have enough love in my heart to take in one more if I have to, but I sure don't want to have another dog.

He came out from under the bed this morning and I haven't seen him since.  I know his owner will be overjoyed to have him back.  I'm greatly relieved.  I hope he comes back to visit from time to time.  He gets along well here.  But it's like having company.  You're happy to see them and happy to see them leave.

That's the way it is when we keep dogs for friends...
