Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:21 AM Feb. 11, 2019 – National Weather Service

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS
EVENING TO 9 AM CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. A mix of freezing rain and
snow early this evening will transition to all freezing rain by
late this evening and continue into early Tuesday morning. Total
snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches expected, highest north. Ice
accumulations of up to around a quarter inch are possible across
portions of Lee, DeKalb and Kane counties.

* WHERE...Lee, DeKalb, Kane, DuPage and Cook Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Monday to 9 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong westerly winds are expected to develop late
Tuesday and continue Tuesday night. These strong winds may
result in areas of blowing snow and may also increase the threat
of power outages, especially for areas that see the more
significant ice accumulations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

...the SAS meeting went very well yesterday...43 people attended...had the vp preside over the meeting...he did okay...8 more signed up memberships...seems like a lot of newbies to the hobby are coming in...that's a good thing because we can help them along...great auction this time...

...I brought home several plants...most of which i got into the substrate a few minutes ago...several bunches came in as donations from one of our sponsors and weren't labeled...I hope I can work out their ID's sometime soon...

...I also picked up 2 nickel size black marble angels and one smaller light marble/koi that I will grow out and take back to the auction...all 3 were in one bag...I'll intro them to the tank later today as I am acclimatising them to my water...
