Not having much success here with respect to healthy spawns but I am managing to get a few to raising size.

Too Many Fish. Not Enough Tanks.

I have a couple of half black crosses with fry.
Always move forward. Never look back.

I have been plagued with small spawns lately, not sure what the problem might be. Hard to believe it is water or husbandry as I recently sold off a Marble/Blue Silver batch of 618 youngsters and a batch of 425 from a Black Lace/Black Lace pair.

The ones that have spawned recently are:
KOI
Half Blacks
Blue Marble/Blue Silver pair.
BSP and a niece Blue Silver Het.

A Half Black pair spawns regularly but I never get any fry. They hatch OK but never get to free swimming. Left the last two batches with them. They worked hard at taking care of then until they started to hatch, then ate them. Maybe next time.

I'm not afraid of work.  I can lay down right next to it and go to sleep.
