CURB FIND

My brother found this sitting on the curb a couple months ago.
125 Allglass/Aqueon and Marineland Majesty   pine stand.

Was set up salt and still had some sand still in it, and was covered with salt.
Cleaned up pretty good, glass has some scratches and the top frame of stand could use some refinishing.

Going to try filling it in the next couple days and check for leaks.

Then it's off to Craigslistland.
And though my lack of education hasn't hurt me none.
I can read the writing on the wall.

Plan is to fill in garage, and leave water in it so buyer can see that it has no leaks.
Assuming it sells fairly quickly.

...if it holds it will be a quick $125-150 bucks  :)

When it comes to fish, most people don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.  Just curious, how much are you offering for the tank?
Always move forward. Never look back.

ghonk

 Listed at $150.
Several of  the 19-20   responding wanted to know the BEST price for it,which is to expected.i told a few $125.

If it doesn't sell in the next week or so he can lower the price, but you can never go up.  ;D

I personally  would  NEVER try to reseal a tank,so in my mind it would only be good for reptiles.

Which is how I ORIGINALLY had it listed, on craigslist and a couple facebook  REPTILE pages.
I did list it on some fish pages after that,in case someone looks there FOR a leaker.

I think that you did great.  Not everyone is up to re-silicon a tank, or did the guy buy it for reptiles?  Good luck on the stand.

He said he was going to reseal it for fish.
He wanted a taller stand  so he  was going to build one, he does kitchen and bath remodeling so it should be pretty simple for him.

Stand sold for $75.

So other then dealing with a few idiots and several fakers it worked out pretty good. ;D

I have sold a decent amount of stuff on craigslist and a couple other spots.

And  those   that ACTUALLY showed up seemed  like great people.
So there is still hope for the world. :)
