Mississippi is actually looking into growing hemp commercially.  Mississippi State has a long history of growing medicinal pot. With our ultra conservative legislature it will be a long time before even the growing of hemp becomes legal.
Always move forward. Never look back.

We have Tea Party Conservatives.  We seem to delight in being  last in all things good and first in all things bad.  I still love it.  Where else could I have had a nice house built for $80,000 and live where I can walk around topless in the summer and never get caught?
