A pork chop with limas simmered with a strip of good bacon.

For desert, eggnog for one.   Put one free raw egg, a cup of half and half, two teaspoons local honey, a couple of drops of real vanilla extract, and a shot and a half of brandy in a mixer (I used my smoothie for one machine but if you want to make more than one use a blender).  Blend until the honey is well incorporated and the eggnog is frothy.  Top with a shake of nutmeg.  Try it.  You'll like it.
Always move forward. Never look back.

As you know, I don't imbibe anymore....but I remember my Dad making the Xmas eve eggnog every year.....big punch bowl....4 qts of eggnog give/take....then 2 qts+ of Old Grandad....LOL...and then added brandy to taste.....we went through many punch bowls full with all our friends dropping by every year...
.....it was a festive time with the crowd rotating in and out.....Santa was a happy camper  :)
