....I met Jerry Lewis the first time when I went to his house with Al Ramsey and Dave Castell, Al my neighbor, and Dave a school friend were in 'Gary Lewis and the Playboys'....we sat around the living room while waiting for the band to practice......Jerry walked in the door and proceeded to grab us all and give us a big kiss on the cheeks....he ended up chasing All all through the house......I'm not sure that I ever laughed so so hard in my life......tears and all.......what a man...perfect?..naw....caring?...you bet your bippy......a one of a kind nice man.....
So long 'Mr. Clown'....and father of 'Jerry's kids'....

...those California days of my youth weren't completely wasted, huh?.... 8).....got drafted from California....never lived there again.....

I never liked the guy .  He came across as arrogant and I found his humor offensive.  A couple of years ago I was in the supermarket where at the check out I was asked if I would like to donate some of my change to "Jerry's kids".  The girl checking me out was too young to even know who he was.  I said, "I hate Jerry Lewis."  She said that another lady said the same thing so I'm not the only one...I know that he knocked himself for the charity but what right did he have to call them his kids.  I gave a few bucks to the charity despite my low regard of it's spokesman.
Always move forward. Never look back.
