My first home grown treat will be blueberries.  They have a way to go before they ripen but I have a good crop this year.

The strains that do best up north are different strains than the ones that do well down my way.  I suggest that you buy from a real nursery that knows to sell plants that do well in your area rather than a walmart or lowes or places like that who accept what is delivered.

Jan got them online and they were supposed to be good for this area......she thinks that it's that our soil isn't acidy enough.......we can work with that tho next time.....

That could well be.  They like a slightly acid soil.  I kinda remember my soil being 6.4 which is perfect for them.
