Title: Frigid Friday
Post by: wsantia1 on September 23, 2022, 06:49:41 AM
Good morning everyone. As of last night it is officially Autumn and this morning I woke up to 53 degree temps with 13 mph winds coming from the NW. It is still 53 degrees but we will top out at 66F this afternoon. We will be back in the 70s this weekend.

More fishroom stuff to do today but first I have to make a run to Sam's club because I am running low on some of the bulky items that I frequently use.  huh

Other than that I'm just going to relax most of the day unless something interesting comes up. mim

Hi folks...

I can't remember when I went on vacation and wasn't ready to go home by the end of it...this is one of those times...I have thoroughly enjoyed our trip...last night we went into San Jose for the Thursday night art walk...a street fair actually...it was a lot of fun and a lot of walking (for me, anyway)...many shops...

I haven't paid any attention to the weather in AZ so don't know what's going on there...whatever it is, it will be waiting for us this afternoon when we get there...Sounds like you guys are starting to get fall weather...

Gotta pack now...good day, all...

Good morning friends.  It starts off in the mornings feeling like fall but by afternoon it turns back into summer.

Willie, I don't have much in the fishroom today.  I need to separate 3 black ram pairs to ship Monday.  Other than that, just feedings and WC.

Ron, I'm so glad you've had a great time.  Think you'll be doing it again next year?

There's no way I can get out of house cleaning today.  I saw Judy in her back yard and I'll be doing her dog tomorrow or sunday.  The poor woman got Covid and is having one hell of a time getting over it.  She's been flat on her back most of the time for 2 weeks and she feels like she has no strength left.  She said that she has never had such a problem getting back to normal as she is having with this bug.  I promised myself I'll get my shot Thursday.  I have to drive to town for an oil change and Walgreens has the vaccine in stock.  I'll expect to be sick Friday and Saturday.  It's hard for me to make myself do something that I know will knock me out for 2 days, but I sure can't afford to get sick like she did.  I have an obligation to my animal babies.

That's if for now.  I go get dirty cleaning the now and then get in a nice hot bath.

Hi you all, it felt like winter here this morning, yesterday was 94 this morning was about 52 and going down to 48 in a couple more days.  Roller coaster weather here for awhile.  I read all your posts from yesterday and today.  Liz I am almost sick at not being able to get some of your baby discus.  I have been depressed a bout it, just fish depression of course.  The rest of my life is great.  I feel like a new lady with my hip which is without pain for the first time in over 10 years.  But can't get more fish right now.

Willie is Fiona passing by your area now or already gone?  Just some strong waves at our beach.  Ron you are one lucky guy to get to go on trips like you do.  I miss traveling so much.

Barb, these are looking so good that I'd keep them myself but I can't see how they would help me in my breeding project.  I still have to post them for sale on AB.  I'm having a hard time making myself do it for some reason.  I'm so glad you are without pain.  And you'll keep getting better for the next 12 months.

As far as baby Discus, I don't think I've mention that I have anther group from this pair growing out.  They are only dimes now but by Spring they will be a good size.  I want to grow this batch out and get my keepers from then.  It takes almost forever for SS's to develop their full pattern.

Well, since I am hoping to drive south to visit you in the  spring, maybe I can pick up 10 then! With a styro box and battery air pump of course.  Thanks Liz!  I am thinking April.

We're home now...it was a good trip...I know we're fortunate to be able to do these trips...I didn't travel much in my youth so I'm trying to make up for it now...my 1st wife wouldn't get on a plane...that sucked...

Everything is looking good in the fish room...I'm glad I have Stan...their  calico Persian cat appears to have pancreas issues...probably cancer :( Maggie is a sweet girl..? I like Her a lot...

Buenos noches, Amigos!...
