Title: Hello Friday
Post by: wsantia1 on July 29, 2022, 09:05:20 AM
Good morning everyone. After a good night's sleep I'm up and ready to go. Played my Mega Millions yesterday so don't have to stand in line to get a ticket today. |^|

It is cloudy and warm here but the humidity is sky high and we are supposed to get Thorms rolling through around noontime. We really need the rain because everything is dry.

Things in the fishroom are going good so I'm not going to mess with anything today but I have to plan on moving some guppies into larger tanks. I do have two running tanks that I can make available with minimal work. Just have to move the occupants and change the water parameters. I get that done over the weekend.

Wishing you all a great day.

Good morning, Willie.  I'm glad you got some good rest.  You sure did sound tuckered last night.

I did one last load of laundry this morning, took the garbage to the corner and since I was on my scooter with the dogs following me, we all took the circle around the neighborhood.  They love it.  Bruno pees on everything in the mile walk.  He hikes his leg up real high as though he's asserting his manhood.  What a joke.  He's a huge sissy boy.  Of course he will fight with another male dog...

I was seriously considering just sitting on my ass being lazy today buy instead I think I'll catch my worthless gold rams from the 100 and putting them in a 29 so I can take them to the pet store next week.  It will be a job because the tank is heavily planted with a large hunk of branchy driftwood.  I imagine I'll have to drain the tank very low and remove as much stuff as I can to get them all.  I want to put my rainbows from the 125 in the office in the 100 and clean up the 125 so I can use it for grow out space for more important fish.

I'd better get on it now before I loose my desire.  Looking forward to checking in later and catch up on what Ron is up to and how Barb is progressing.  She is allergic to opioids, the poor thing, and having to get along on extra strength Tylenol.  Recovery will be more painful for her but she'll get through.  She has a strong will.

That job is done.  It was quite a job,  I'm tired but feel good about having done it.  I removed about 20 Rams that I'm not needing and 3 adult brown snots.  Ken and Twee will be happy to have them.  I left my 2 or 3 ancient pearl gourami's and about 5 adult SAE's.  I also attached some plants that had been floating around  to driftwood.  I used zip ties to make it easier.

The next job will be to do drain the 125 down low and catch all the Rainbow's and move them.  I won't be done then.  I'll need to remove all the gravel and Clorox the tank.  It has a lot of BHA growing in it.  I'll toss the few plants because they're full of the algae, too.  If I'm going to use that tank for grow outs it needs to be pristine.  The worst part will be removing the gravel.  I'm not real good at carrying heavy buckets any more.  I'll figure out the easiest way to get it done.

That's it for me folks.  I'm gonna have a nice hamburger with Broccoli with hollandaise sauce.  Yum |eat|

Hi Willie and Liz!  Good to read about all the things you both have going on.  It is a dang good thing I don't have many tanks of fish like you both do.  No way could I be taking care of them now.  My discus tank is all I can manage.  Endler tank needs nothing except food.  I had several visitors today, cat lady. PT lady and garden club friend.  And it is 104 outside now at 7pm!  So hot here I am glad I can't be outside.

Good luck on the draw tonight Willie, if I could get out I would have gotten a few too.  If I won I would keep a few mill. and give the rest away.  Bye until tomorrow!
