Title: Wild Altums
Post by: Babers on February 09, 2020, 02:47:21 PM
I've had these guys for just a month now. Got them from Wattley Discus. Came in 2 bags (5 in each bag). 1 DOA, then another 3 died within a couple days. All fish that died were on the same bag. I was able to save 1 of them in that bag. Severe ammonia burn and fish were very stressed.

The other bag was the exact opposite....fins look great and does not seem stressed at all. Ate good the next day.

Anyway, 6/10 are doing good. Eating frozen food....now I'm trying to introduce flake food.

Refunded cost of 4 angels. He also offered replacement but then I had to pay shipping cost again. So I just got the refund.

Thanks Jon. It's been a challenge the first few days. They won't even eat. That's why I was looking for live blackworms last gcca swap. Well, They finally started eating on 4th day, ate frozen blood worms and fbs. They are also now eating flake food from Angelsplus. I started them with beefheart flakes, now the Angels flakes. So I rotate this food daily. I also keep them now at Ph between 5-5.2. I continue to use Rooibos tea for tannins. They adjusted well I think. The Geos Im surprised they can tolerate that low of a ph, but they're doing good also.
